Brazilian Beachwear Does Good for the Marginalised

Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes - ah

There's something quite different to heave a sigh of admiration in Ipanema and that's Olga Olsson beachwear.

Creating products that are personal and unique, its founder, Ruth Ferguson works with marginalised woman and youths in Rio De Janeiro to create beautiful bikinis, trunks for men and kaftans. Fabric is hand painted by a group of young artisans who are part of an art training NGO.

I'm in awe that Olga Olsson celebrates culture and creates hope for the young. Check out this video:

On a less serious note, ever wondered what bikini bottom cut gives the cutest tush? Apparently, the Italian cut that is not as itsy bitsy as the Rio cut and not as full as the American cut makes bottoms look smaller and more pert and elongates legs.  Thats' claiming quite a load so if you wanna test it out, Olga Olsson will launch its e-shop in November.

share a little, or a lot! x
